After canceling on scheduled “Carpool Karaoke” appearances with James Corden multiple times, Kanye West finally appeared on the segment — with a twist. Ever the individualist, West had to do it his way, opting to do “Airpool Karaoke” on a private jet instead of grabbing shotgun in Corden’s car as most guests do.

Also present on the plane was West’s Sunday Service choir, and they did most of the heavy lifting when it came to the musical aspect of the segment (though West did rap “Jesus Walks”). But Corden and West chat about West’s newfound religion, his gospel album Jesus Is King and his marriage to Kim Kardashian.

As with any interview he does, West spoke his mind, revealing that he wants seven kids (he and Kardashian currently have four) and citing the $68 million tax refund he allegedly got last year as proof that God is “showing off” through him and not, as one might naturally assume, simply the result of Republican tax cuts for the wealthy.

“Now I get to work for God, and he about to show out,” he said. “Kanye West works for God.”

West also cracked a joke about his wife’s ex Kris Humphries and referred to atheists as zombies, saying, “People who don’t believe are walking dead. They are asleep, and this is the awakening.”
