Kathy Griffin will be in attendance for this year’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner on April 28. According to a story in Page Six, LGBT news outlet the Washington Blade invited Griffin to the dinner. Griffin has been embroiled in controversy since her infamous photo holding a model of Donald Trump’s severed head made waves last May. Trump did not attend the 2017 White House Correspondents’ Dinner. He indicated last year that he planned to attend the 2018 event, but the White House is yet to confirm or deny his appearance. Although Griffin won’t be hosting, her presence surely adds to the night’s potential for conflict.
