The opening teaser sequence of 1983 James Bond movie Octopussy (watch at bottom)  is one of the franchise’s best: seen driving what you think is a horse trailer, Bond abruptly stops in the middle of the road, the horse tail flips up (it’s fake), and out taxis the spy in a personal aircraft, which he uses to bomb an enemy hangar.

While we can’t promise you those kind of militaristic heroics (or firepower), we can tell you that just such an aircraft now exists and is for sale. And its ante has been upped quite a bit.

Taking seven years to produce, the e-Go, a single-seat aircraft, has already filled its first order. Priced at about $75,000, the unusual aircraft only costs $18.80 per hour to run, around 90 percent less than most similarly sized planes.

The truly unique thing about the pint-sized plane is that its wings and canard can be detached, meaning it can easily fit into a domestic garage, avoiding the costs of owning a hangar.

Its maximum speed is 90 knots (or 103 mph), and it can climb at 750 feet per minute.

A full glass cockpit is integrated into the e-Go, as well as a Wankel rotary engine. “The new breed of Wankel engines are proving to be very smooth and reliable. Together with our very low drag, we get excellent miles/gallon,” the company said on its website.

The plane uses unleaded gas, which means users can easily refuel the plane in a garage—or dare we say, at the gas station (though you’d have to find a safe place to land nearby).

The firm is currently seeking a buyer to move the company into full production mode and allow it to produce multi-seat variations down the line. But preorders are being taken, allowing users to secure a manufacturing slot for delivery this year.

A refundable $6,100 deposit secures your place in line, although it is unclear whether or not people outside the U.K. will be able to buy the plane. For more information on the e-Go, click here.
