Here’s what we know about the Alien: Covenant VR experience: it’s gonna give you nightmares.
Launching on Wednesday, April 266 for the Oculus, Alien: Covenant In Utero is a 360-degree VR trip that promises a “close and personal encounter as an alien neomorph at the time of its birth.”
For those who haven’t been following the Alien: Covenant hoopla, the Neomorph is the much anticipated new breed of alien being introduced in Ridley Scott’s long-awaited sequel.
Produced by Scott’s film company’s VR division and FoxNext VR Studio, the In Utero experience also promises to let users “experience the world around them, reliving the very first memories of the neomorph in an immersive environment.”
Using the clues in the trailer — humans screaming in terror — we’ve got a solid guess as to how the neomorph is born and what, or maybe we should say whom, it hatches from.
The Oculus store will be selling the experience and Alien: Covenant hits theaters on May 19th.
