Yes, There’s Such a Thing as a Two-Wheeled Lap Record

If you’ve ever heard of Chinese stunt driver Han Yue or either of the Guinness World Records he used a MINI to help set two years ago (tightest parallel park and most donuts around a car driving on two wheels in one minute), we’d like to formally invite you to join our trivia team.

And then we’d like to fill you in on his new trivia-worthy title.

To get his name in the record books once again, Han used a modified MINI Cooper S to set the record for the fastest lap time ever at Nürburgring Nordschleife in a car — on two wheels.

Risking failure with every turn of the wheel, it took Han 45 minutes to finish the full 12.9-mile Nordschleife track; he maintained an average speed of 17 MPH during the record-breaking lap.

Impressive as Han’s achievement is (or isn’t), we wouldn’t recommend watching the entire run.
