Capt. Sully: ‘It Was a Day Like 10,000 Other Days’
Face it: If you land a airplane on the Hudson River and all of your passengers survive, you’re going to be famous. Such is the story of airline captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, who pulled off that feat in 2009, and instantly became an American hero. The story has now been turned into a movie, Sully, directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Tom Hanks and gets wide release on Sept. 9. (check back tomorrow on RealClearLife for more on the film.)
The real Sully was on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night, remembering that fateful flight (“It was a day like 10,000 other days”) and discussing Eastwood’s new film. Watch the full interview below.
