Disney’s annual fan club conference, D23, was full of surprises from the moment it opened last Friday until the curtain came down on Sunday.

As RealClearLife reported Friday, Disney first unveiled miniature models of the soon-to-be full-scale, tour-able Star Wars “lands” it’s planning to have ready by 2019.

Also unveiled at the conference was the first trailer for Ava DuVernay’s A Wrinkle in Time, which stars Chris Pine and Reese Witherspoon, and is set to premiere in March 2018 (see above).

That, and an epic panel and first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War, in theaters May 2018, which will star Tom Holland of the recently re-minted Spider-Man franchise; Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans reprising their roles as Iron Man and Captain America, respectively; along with a virtual laundry list of A-listers who’ve dipped their toes in the Marvel universe ranks of late. Fanboys were especially abuzz on social media when Josh Brolin, who will portray Infinity War‘s villain, Thanos, revealed his “infinity gauntlet” at the event.

But the web lights up like an eighth-night Hanukkah menorah at any mention of Star Wars, and D23 did not disappoint. Revealed at the event was a rather lengthy Star Wars: The Last Jedi behind-the-scenes teaser, which featured behind-the-scenes video; interviews with the cast and director Rian Johnson (including footage of the late Carrie Fisher); and more than a few breadcrumbs for Redditors to analyze for the next five months (the film hits theaters in December).
