The Only Bike Tour That Ends at the Best Restaurant on Earth

Don't worry, there's a way to bypass the 4-month waitlist

As we’ve previously discussed, Italian chef Massimo Bottura has cooked up some pretty tasty ideas in his time.

Now he’s back with another one and we’re thinking it sounds pretty, pretty good.

The first Italian chef to land at the top of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list, Bottura is offering the opportunity for a couple to join him on a bike tour around his hometown of Modena before heading to his thrice Michelin-starred restaurant Osteria Francescana for a bite to eat at one of its 12 tables.

As part of the Massimo Bottura Bike Tour Experience in the northern Italian city, Massimo Bottura will escort his guests to the historic Mercato Albinelli food market to pick up supplies and learn how an award-winning chef shops for his groceries in addition to cooking up lunch.

While Bottura’s asking price for the experience ain’t cheap — $25,000 — it does mean its buyer can skip the four-month waiting list to get a table at Osteria Francescana.

Also, as a bonus, the purchase price includes 250,000 entries in a raffle to win a trip to Copenhagen and stay in a four-star hotel before having dinner at the new Noma’s opening night.

Proceeds from the raffle and the price of the experience go to support Rene Redzepi’s nonprofit MAD Feed so you may even be able to write the whole thing off if your accountant will play ball.

Buon appetito.
