While connecting cables outside the International Space Station to a newly installed Pressurized Mating Adapter-3 — a high-tech piece of equipment that provides pressure during docking operations — NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson kept her helmet cam rolling.
The footage she captured of the operation, which was completed with help from fellow NASA astronaut Shane Kimbrough, is fascinating in and of itself but what really makes the video as captivating as anything Ridley Scott has ever shot is the image of the Earth in the background.
