The Superboat Called Superfly Delivers on Both Counts

Calling all friendly neighborhood supervillains ...

The appropriately coined Superfly superyacht has all the makings of magnificence: comfort, performance, power, an especially large bathroom (or head, for those taken to boating parlance).

Scandinavian-based makers Red Yacht just teased the concept, a 42-foot luxury liner capable of reaching up to 65 knots thanks to a touted 1,880 horsepower. That’s enough to get you to Riviera and back in no time — and stylishly.

Power aside, the aesthetics make for a real show pony here. The whole rig is encased in glass, with wraparound windshields and a glass-paneled ceiling for minimal obstruction on the high seas. One part villain and one part playboy, the carbon hull holds a grand living room, a rear master cabin with a double king-size bed, a front cabin with sleeping quarters and a spacious lavatory for all.

Red Yacht is expected to make an official release statement about the boat at this week’s Cannes Yachting Festival.
