Welcome to InsideHook’s Staff Picks, a compendium of all the stuff our editors have been digging on recently. This week, in honor of Mother’s Day, we’re handing the mic over to our moms.

CUTCO Vegetable Peeler
My CUTCO vegetable peeler has been peeling carrots, sweet potatoes, etc., for me for more than 30 years. It very easily peels the tough skin off fresh ginger! It will also shave hard cheeses like Parmesan. It has a dual-sided blade that allows for peeling backward and forward, as we don’t all peel alike, and has a very ergonomic feel and cleans great. Amazingly, it is just as sharp as the day I bought it. But if it ever does need sharpening, I can return it to CUTCO to be sharpened for free. — Diane Bleier

Hermès Silk Scarf
I’m a scarf person. I wear them in the winter, they help keep me warm in the cold New York City weather; I wear them in the summer, they come in handy on the overly air conditioned trains and in my freezing office. I have many different colors and styles, some are dressy and some are casual. My absolute favorite scarf is one that my daughter gave me for Mother’s Day a few years ago, it’s a beautiful Hermès pastel colored scarf — perfect for spring and summer and it makes me feel pretty when I wear it. — Maria Scotti

Peloton Bike
I thought about this a lot and I would say that the the product I use the most is my Peloton bike. I use it almost daily. It is so convenient to have a way to get an engaging workout without having to go anywhere. The classes are fun and it makes it so easy to multitask – I can exercise while dinner is in the oven! Unlike other in home exercise equipment – it looks sleek and hasn’t become a ‘coat rack.’  A Peloton workout saves time compared to going to the gym so I can spend more time with my family. — Lynn Kibbe

Lancer The Method Polish, Cleanse & Nourish 3-Piece Kit
I purchased this 3 piece method intro kit from QVC to see if I would like it and I wound up loving everything about this product.  Since the intro kit only came with a travel size of the cleanse, I needed to purchase the full size product.  It makes my skin feel clean and soft after using and of course who wouldn’t want younger glowing skin! — Jeanine Birkmire

Photographs (and the Frames You Keep Them in)
Wow! This is tough. I thought about this and walked through the house looking for something. I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t get attached to things (no favorite sweaters or a special book).  I keep coming back to photos — not one particular photo, just photos of family. You and your sister, you and me, you and your dad, my mom, my dad (who I wish you had known), your grandpa, Parker and Davis (my wild, crazy grandsons who have stolen my heart), my siblings. I know this is cliche, but it’s not the photos I treasure and can’t live without, it’s family. Isn’t that what motherhood is all about? I am reminded of that every day when I walk through the house and smile as I catch a glimpse of you. [Editor/son’s note: Photos need frames. I recommend Framebridge, an easy-as-pie online framing shop where prices start at $39.] — Kerry Loetscher
