To the untrained eye, the Tissot Visodate, one of our favorite affordable dress watches, doesn’t appear to be on sale at Nordstrom Rack. Right now, you can pick it up for $330, but there’s no discount listed on the page. However, not only is that almost 50% less than the current Visodate model, it’s the lowest price we’ve ever seen for the watch.
This particular Tissot Visodate features everything you could ask for in a classic dress watch: sensible 40mm case, Swiss automatic movement, clean face though with the day-date window functionality, brown leather strap and styling that evokes the past without screaming retro. If you’re looking for something versatile, or simply your first dressy automatic, then this is a no-brainer.
One of the reasons it’s heavily discounted is because Tissot has released an upgraded version of the Visodate, one with a larger case, more powerful movement and more prominent script on the dial. Despite there being that update on the market, it’s clear the older model still holds its own, especially at a discount over $300.
