Get ’em before the period of public contrition ends. Just don’t bring your rabbit.
Unless, of course, you’re looking for an elevated flight experience — in which case, you might want to consider Southwest, which today announced an end to overbooked flights. (We reiterate that the problem with the infamous United flight was not overbooking, but a series of terrible decisions by nearly everyone in positions of authority.) Personally, we like overbooked flights — how else to pick up a few hundred dollars at the airport? But if you want to minimize interruption to your travel plans, might be worth a look.
