According to the Good Housekeeping Institute, the answer is nada.
The institute recently published a definitive guide to tipping—and when not to tip—for restaurants and taxis at all the major hubs around the world.
Some other worldwide destinations where tips aren’t required at restaurants? China, Japan, and the Netherlands. In Southeast Asia, however, tips aren’t customary but appreciated nonetheless.
The majority of spots on the list do require tips—but there are a number of locations where suggested tips are far lower than they are in America. Some of these include Egypt (5-10 percent), Greece (5-10 percent), Germany (10 percent), India (10 percent), Mexico (10 percent), and Turkey (10 percent).
