While he’s best known for his acclaimed work as an actor, Stanley Tucci has long maintained a foothold in the culinary world. He starred in and co-directed Big Night, which Roger Ebert called “one of the great food movies.” He’s also hosted the James Beard Awards and written cookbooks. And now Tucci is set to make yet another foray into the world of food, this time via a series he’ll host on CNN.

Deadline reports that the forthcoming series, Stanley Tucci: Searching For Italy, will find the acclaimed actor traveling across Italy and exploring the country’s food; one example cited in the article is “looking at how wealth and poverty impacted on the cuisine culture in Florence, Tuscany.”

Tucci weighed in with his own take on the forthcoming series. “I wanted to do this series because I am fascinated by the diversity of Italian cuisine and set out to gain a better understanding of the country’s rich history and culture,” he told Deadline. “This was a passion project and love letter to the place where my family is from.”

In previous interviews, Tucci has also spoken about his fondness for Italy. In a 2014 conversation with Travel + Leisure, he was asked about great meals he’d recently had. “My wife, Felicity, and I just got back from Puglia, Italy,” he told the magazine. “At Il Bastione, in Gallipoli, we ate a simple seafood pasta, everything fresh from the sea. Just superb.”

The series will consist of four episodes. For those eager to live vicariously through Tucci’s culinary adventures, no air date has been announced as of yet.
