It’s been a rough year for Fox so far. Over the course of several weeks, it’s let go of one-time golden boy Bill O’Reilly, amidst sexual harassment allegations; seen the resignation of co-president Bill Shine; and mounting number of additional lawsuits, ranging from sexual to racial discrimination. And there are signs that a federal investigation of Fox News’ workplace culture may be underway as well.

But let’s turn back the clock a minute. According to the New York Times, the company says it incurred $45 million in costs in the nine months before March 31. That is, before the Times even dropped its devastating report April 1 about Fox paying millions in hush money for O’Reilly’s alleged indiscretions.

In its 34-minute quarterly earning call yesterday, noted the Times, Fox executives barely discussed the still-evolving scandal or its potential bottom-line impact going forward.
