Russell Westbrook and TUMI Collaborate on Luggage Line

On the court, Oklahoma City Thunder star Russell Westbrook doesn’t get caught traveling too often.

But due to the rigors of an 82-game NBA season, the MVP point guard does more than his fair share of jetsetting off the court. And thanks to an assist from TUMI, he nowhas an All-Star line of luggage to bring with him.

The limited-edition line comprises six bags (two backpacks, a satchel and a rolling suitcase among them) and a key fob. Decked out in bright red camo and made from high-performance ballistic nylon — what’d you expect, something understated? — the pieces all have interiors embossed with Westbrook’s personal motto: “Why Not?”

“Being who I am and what I represent in terms of style, I wanted to do something different,” Westbrook told Esquire. “And Tumi was excited to do something in a color that sticks out but is still useful.”
