Connors. Borg. McEnroe. The ’70s and ’80s were filled with a who’s who of charismatic tennis malefactors.

Real characters, on and off the court. (Fantastic tantrums, too.)

Bringing back that old-school character: Boast, the long-running “rebel prep” brand debuting a new line of awesomely retro athletic gear, out now.

For their spring/summer line, the Greenwich-based label conceived a line of go-go tennis shorts, striped polos and warm-up gear.

But looking this retro good doesn’t mean sacrificing performance. Case in point: the Tipped Court Polo features sweat-wicking material to keep you dry as you transition from office to baseline.

Besides an array of spiffy polos, Boast’s new line features striped match shorts, v-neck cable sweaters and colorful twill court jackets.

In other words: time to get back in the game.
