For years now, Astorflex has been the welcome alternative to Clark’s Desert Boots. The Italian company is particularly known for its eco-friendly Greenflex boot — a boot in many ways that proves no man should have to empty their wallet for high-quality footwear.
And now, thanks to the brand’s quest to be your alternative for just about everything, they’ve released their first sneaker: the SoftFlex.
Like all of Astorflex’s offerings, each pair of SoftFlex sneakers are handmade in Italy using sustainable leathers and rubber. The leather — aged in water, oak bark and other natural materials — goes through a “softening” process that produces the shoe’s incredibly textured appearance. It’s all finished off with 100% natural crepe rubber sole.
That’s to say this is a masculine go get ‘em shoe. Comfortable as they are handsome. A sneaker for the guy who’d finally like to give his boots a rest for a season.
