He didn’t drop 51 points like LeBron James did in Game 1, but Steph Curry did make 11 of 26 shots for 33 points in Game 2 of the NBA Finals and, more importantly, the Warriors went up 2–o in the series.
Curry was 9 for 17 from deep to set an NBA Finals record for most 3-pointers in a single game for Golden State’s resounding 122-103 win over the visiting Cavaliers. Ray Allen was the previous record holder with eight.

The two-time MVP’s effort was backed by 20 points from Klay Thompson and 26 points, nine rebounds and seven assists from Kevin Durant.
For the Cavs, James followed up his massive Game 1 performance with 29 points, 13 assists and nine rebounds and Kevin Love had 22 points and 10 boards.
With the Cavs trailing 0-2 in the series, Game 3 will be Wednesday night in Cleveland.
“They’re a dangerous ballclub no matter what,” James said. “It starts with those four guys, those four All-Stars. Everybody else just does their job and they don’t miss a beat when they put someone in or they take someone out. We want to continue to be uncomfortable. Just because we’re going home doesn’t mean we can relax.”
