Michael Jordan, who hasn’t played in an NBA game since 2003, will be returning to the league next season … in logo form.
Jordan Brand announced that the basketball legend’s Jumpman logo will appear on all 30 NBA Statement Edition uniforms starting in the 2020-21 season.

Typically featuring an alternate color scheme, Statement Edition uniforms are alternate jerseys that are usually worn for big games or rivalries.
“Each season, the Statement Edition designs set the tone for key matchups and are inspired by NBA teams making a bold statement every time they step onto the court — a natural connection to Jordan Brand’s namesake and his approach to the game,” according to Nike.
The Jumpman logo will replace the Nike swoosh on the right shoulder of the jersey and left leg of the shorts on the Statement Edition uniforms, which will hit retail stores in October. The Charlotte Hornets, the team Jordan owns, have been outfitted by Jordan Brand since 2017, and the brand has supplied the NBA All-Star Game uniforms for the past three years.
