Ahead of their matchup on Sunday Night Football, the GOAT debate about quarterbacks Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers has been raging.
Hell, even Michael Jordan weighed in on the subject.
At his usual Wednesday press conference, Patriots coach Bill Belichick was asked for his thoughts on the subject and if he would take Brady instead of Rodgers.
In typical fashion, New England’s coach gave his usual non-answer response.
“I’ve never played against Tom Brady. I’m glad he’s our quarterback,” Belichick said. “He’s a great quarterback. He’s won a lot of games for us and hopefully he’ll win a lot more. We’ve won a lot of games because of him but I’ve never played against Tom Brady. It’s a different context. I would say playing against Aaron Rodgers is very, very difficult. He’s as good as anybody that I’ve faced and we’ve faced a lot of good ones through the years and that’s not to take anything away from anyone else. I’m just saying the guy is a great player. He can do anything that a quarterback needs to do consistently.”
Belichick also added he was happy the Patriots are in the AFC East, not the NFC North. “I’m glad we only play Rodgers once every four years. I mean, I’m in no rush to see him every week,” he said.

When Belichick was asked about similarities between the two quarterbacks before their matchup in Green Bay in 2014, he was a bit more terse with his response.
“They both wear No. 12,” Belichick said.
