21 October 2016

It's being billed as the raunchiest night in San Francisco.

And it's back, this Saturday, at Piano Fight, the full-service bar and restaurant of our dreams.

Publicly sanctioned raunch with mac 'n' cheese and Old Fashioneds on the menu: Is there really something better?

Here's your to-do list for the weekend.

Live Sex SF: Focus Your Hocus on My Pocus
Gather a bunch of sex-positive "sexperts" and comedians in a room and chances are you're going to hear some very specific stories about everyone's sex lives. Extra points for the venue: PianoFight's menu will get you through if you end up going straight from your Saturday afternoon activities. Saturday at 10:30 p.m.

Picnic at Hanging Rock
Peter Weir's weird, sexy, dreamy take on the acid-tongued 1967 Joan Lindsay classic deserves its place at the forefront of 20th century Aussie cinema. Part of SFMoMA's two-pronged series: Modern Cinema: Criterion Collection and Apichatpong Weerasethakul, featuring the former classics and the latter Thai director. Saturday at 3 p.m.

San Francisco BBQ Festival
They had us at "barbecue fest." For the record: Expect a couple-dozen breweries and 50-plus barbecue joints. Barbecue sauce-centric happiness awaits. Saturday at 11 a.m.

East Bay Mini Maker Faire
Feel like making a boat and floating it in a lake? Checking out a 17-foot contraption you can control with a phone and used to be a 1959 El Camino? Diving deep into the world of combat robots? All that and way more is availabe in this single-day edition of Maker Faire, which should actually be fun for everyone and definitely will distract your children for at least 50% of their waking hours on Sunday. Sunday at 10 a.m.

Presidio Picnic
If you're been procrastinating re: getting out to Off the Grid's afternoon food-a-thon in the lovely Presidio, this is your last chance before they close up for the season. Expect 30 food vendors (we'll be in line for Wings Wings) and an excellent springboard for the rest of your day in the greenery.

Hike of the Week: Butano State Park
Want a day really to yourself? Try this 14-mile hike through Butano State Park's redwoods. The Jackson Flats loop is, as the name suggests, long but level, and the crowds here are thin on the ground.
