Now and Men

The bathroom is the genesis of many a good idea — after all, that’s where Doc Brown invented the flux capacitor, which he apparently named after some particularly turbulent habañero poppers.

For a men’s e-store that had its own genesis in the “innovative” bathroom shower curtain trade, check out New York’s own Izola.

A one-stop-shop for “objects with a masculine sense of antiquity” — and a great place to get last-minute Father’s Day gifts — Izola curates a wide range of products around nostalgic themes like Scout, Maritime, Apothecary, and Great Plains.

Izola handkerchiefs

The e-store’s latest offerings: brass-plated letter openers, barware, handkerchief sets printed with old world imagery, navy-style laundry bags inscribed with wash tips, and stainless steel flasks inscribed with clever sayings, e.g., “To My Health,” and “May You Never Go to Hell, But Always Be On Your Way.”

Izola soaps

Izola also carries guy-centric bath and grooming products like themed handmade soap sets (and witty dishes to hold them), bamboo “guest” toothbrushes, and of course the aforementioned shower curtains.

The site also features an inspiration blog rife with vintage images and historical anecdotes – though Dad may be all set on those already.
