That said, acronyms like VPN, DNS, ISP and the like have a tendency to send our eyes rolling into the back of our skulls. If this is also true for you, Cloudflare has a new one-and-done privacy app for you called 18.104.22.168.
The name is a clue to the inner-workings of the service, but for all intents and purposes 22.214.171.124 is a free app for your Android or iOS device that can block internet eavesdroppers from seeing your web history. It’s been available for PCs and Macs, but is available on mobile now for the first time.
“Your ISP, and anyone else listening in on the Internet, can see every site you visit and every app you use — even if their content is encrypted,” notes Cloudflare on the app’s website. “Creepily, some DNS providers sell data about your Internet activity or use it to target you with ads.”
If you’d like to thwart that, head on over to the website to get step-by-step instructions on how to download 126.96.36.199 for your Android, iOS, MacOS, Windows or Linux device — or even your router. Once installed, all it takes is one click to turn it on and you're good. Set it and forget it. (It will also likely speed up your browser!)
