What do you get the “small, vicious animal that eats Mustangs” and has everything for its 50th?

Clearly not cake.

In order to celebrate the golden anniversary of the Camaro, Chevrolet has unveiled a no-nonsense special-edition model expected to debut at the New York International Automotive Show later this month.

Available in a coupe or convertible package, the car sports a “nightfall gray metallic” exterior with a custom orange stripe, a grille with satin chrome accents, 20-inch alloy wheels, HID headlights, LED tail lamps and an interior that’s been given a special 50th anniversary makeover.

Full details haven’t been released, but it’s known that the 2LT and 2SS models will be available with four, six, or eight cylinder engines packing 275, 335, and 455 ponies, respectively. Production of both commemorative cars will not be limited.

While the price hasn’t been released, odds are it will cost a bit more than that the first model went for in the summer of ‘66.
