As with “The Endless Summer,” the search for the perfect wave can lead you to many places. But if it’s the perfect wave lifestyle you seek, end your search at Shelter Half.

Run by the guys behind Environment Furniture, Shelter Half is a boutique that rocks a rotating assortment of SoCal-inspired ephemera.

On the shelves: an ensemble case of goods, from Crate Jeans, to out-of-print photography books, to nautical and American art — all evoking the laid back steez of a well-read surfer’s Malibu manse. There’s even rare vintage vinyl like Ursa Major spinning … except when the cashier is strumming his guitar.

A few of the more want-worthy items:

    • Two Stormy Monday limited edition surfboards — co-created with Hawaiian legend, Marshall Crumb, only eight were made.

    • Save Khaki t-shirts, button downs, jackets, and pants.

To take it all in, you can dip onto one of the Environment couches made from reused army canvas, but beware: they’re so comfortable, you’ll need someone to pry you from them.

Not that you’ll want to move. Shelter Half also runs occasional movie nights (such as “Chinatown”) and the occasional musical performance. Surf’s up.
