Step It Up

You can tell a lot about a man by how he sheaths his doggies. Where he works, how active he is, and whether he has the aesthetic sense of a mewling man-baby.

For the man who wants to stay active without looking like Turtle, we give you Cordwain, a new cobbler hailing from Venice Beach.

Cordwain — pronounced kawrd-weyn — is the brainchild of Zac Andrews, who’s designed for the VF Corporation for over five years.

Their first line, The High & Tight, consists of only two styles.

The Herlin: a classic suede low-cut, with a premium density EVA insole and an airbag in the heel for added comfort. But it’s thin and rakish enough to be worn with a casual suit or slacks.

And the Rookwood: this is where the boot and the hightop sneaker collide. Offered in camel and black and designed with the same rubber sole as the Herlin, but with premium full-grain leather.

To keep them rarefied, Cordwain will only release 360 pairs of each style.

Hop to it.
