Crowdfunded projects — at their best, a celebration of ingenuity, individualism and entrepreneurship.
At their worst? Inciting an angry, cooler-less mob.
But Kickstarter is celebrating those projects that not only reached their funding goals, but the creators who delivered on their original promises. Now through July 31, over fifty of the crowdfunding site’s most successful campaigns have reintroduced their wares with new updates under the banner Kickstarter Gold.
All of these campaigns stem from repeat creators — and as Kickstarter notes, a third of all pledges to their site go to projects from creators who have run two or more successful ventures.
A few of our favorites:
VIDERE: A 35mm DIY pinhole paper/cardboard camera kit.
DAS SNEAKER: Minimalist sneakers with an atheist bent.
MusicforCats: An album for cats (there’s actual science behind this) to share with humans.
Bay ST: Oru’s foldable kayak returns with a green tree print.
Wireless Transparent Speakers: Upgraded with Bluetooth and a single-button “Flic” remote.
Head on over to Kickstarter Gold to scope all the projects.
