We love Kickstarter, but we certainly don’t need amateur makers shilling us another drone, smart wallet or whatever the hell this was.

In a first for the crowdfunding platform, they’re promoting a sex toy. And it’s got smarts.
Fin is a new sex toy from Dame Products. The Brooklyn-based company, started by Alexandra Fine and Janet Lieberman, had already found early success with their hands-free couples vibrator Eva (which was funded via Indiegogo).
As for Fin: It’s a small, unobtrusive vibrator you wear between your fingers. It’s great for a more (pun intended) hands-on expereince and clitorial stimulation.
“A ton of people appreciated the unobtrusiveness of Eva, others wanted a hand-on option,” says Fine, the company’s CEO. “We wanted to add vibration to the movements that couples were already doing. We definitely didn’t invent the idea for a finger vibe — but we felt confident that we could create something superior to other products.”
Made from medical-grade silicone, Fin is exceptionally versatile. It has two ends, “firm and direct” versus “flat and squishy,” each offering different sensations. The device offers three speeds, recharges via USB, is pretty quiet, and you can wear it pretty much however you want: above or below your fingers, in your palm, tethered or not.
The Brooklyn duo deserves equal kudos for getting Kickstarter on board. “We spent quite a while drafting an email to them — we explained that we are product developers and makers just like any other creator they allow onto their platform,” says Fine. “We’re in the same community of entrepreneurs in Brooklyn, we work down the street from one another, and we’ve proven we can deliver. We felt that if they were ever going to allow a sex toy onto their platform, it had to be ours.”
Fin is currently fully funded on Kickstarter, but still available for $60 (MSRP will be $74.95). Delivery is scheduled for December.
