Up there with prosciutto and melon and melon wrapped in prosciutto, there are few things that pair better with a refreshing glass of rosé than a sun-soaked backyard in the summertime.
So that summer revelers can spend more time sitting out and less time schlepping inside for a refill, a sustainable wine brand has begun using a new vessel to deliver rosé: the forty.
Forty Ounce Wines — which also produces a 40-ounce Muscadet — has started selling its rosé in locations in New York, New Jersey, California, Pennsylvania, and Colorado, and plans to have bottles on shelves on the West Coast by the end of the month with prices starting around $15.
Made in the Loire Valley by winemaker Julien Braud, only 1,200 cases of Forty Ounce Rosé were produced last year and are expected to sell out faster than you can say “summer gimmick.”
