Carlsberg Wants to Pay You $14K for Drinking Its Beer for Four Hours

You might have to fly over to the U.K. or Europe to find a pub that’ll serve you a proper pint of Carlsberg, but we can vouch for its tastiness out of the tap (you can also find it in bottle form in most imported beer aisles at the supermarket). Why the sudden interest in the Danish brewer? The company recently launched a “Best Job” campaign, where it says it’ll pay you the equivalent of $14,000 to drink their beer for just four hours.

If you saw that “the equivalent of” up there and wondered if there was a catch, there is: The beer-maker is looking for a brand ambassador in Singapore, who would be available Dec. 8th, 9th, and 15th, in order to get the job done ($20,000 Singapore dollars = about $14K).

But that’s not an impossible feat by any means; flights from New York City to Singapore start at about $1,000, and we can’t help but think that going out of your way to make this job a reality would endear you to the good folks at Carlsberg.

Besides getting halfway across the world, what other requirements are there? you ask. “Zero,” according to Carlsberg’s official entry form (they’re taking applicants through Dec. 4, so that gives you until this weekend to take the 20-plus-hour trip eastward). You don’t need a driver’s license, though, which is huge, as Carlsberg will be providing you with your own personal chauffeur to get to and from the job.
