Anyway Here’s a Flying Segway

Beam me up, Scotty

What the flying platform you see above lacks in form, it more than makes up for in function.

An updated version of Zapata Racing’s Flyboard Air, the Zapata Ezfly is basically a jet thruster-equipped Segway. Pilots grip two torso-height handles for stability and steer the craft using their body weight, making the Ezfly the most straightforward and easy-to-operate personal flying device to date.

The model’s ready-to-fly design certainly has curb appeal, and the grins on the faces of the 10 or so pilots in the teaser video above seem to confirm that.

Zapata is yet to release any info about the flying machine beyond the clip. That said, since the video was shot in Texas, we’d say there’s reason to hope that if a commercial version ever gets released, it’ll be available stateside.
