Want Some Nightmares? This Giant Wheeled Robot Can Help.

Nope. Nope nope nope.

Boston Dynamics bills itself as an engineering firm, but ever since they built an evil robot dog, we’ve suspected they’re really trying to make robots that will eventually exterminate humanity. They just made a new one, so we thought you’d like to know about it and prepare accordingly.

Dubbed the “Handle” because it will be able to handle objects and carry heavy loads (like human bodies, as it dutifully piles them up in a giant industrial landfill), the self-balancing bot was dubbed “nightmare-inducing” by Boston Dynamics founder Marc Raibert while he showed it off during a video presentation at the Abundance360 conference in LA. Handle comes equippied with wheels and miniature appendages that allow it to zip around at fairly high speeds, change directions quickly without falling, roll backwards if needed and even jump in the air.

It’s also capable of waterboarding captives of all sizes in its ongoing efforts to identify the location of John Connor.

Kidding?
