Diddy announced on Twitter yesterday that he wants to be the next owner of the Carolina Panthers, the Washington Post reports. Jerry Richardson, the current Panther owner, announced his resignation Sunday following the revelation that the NFL is investigating him for multiple counts of workplace misconduct, including allegations of sexual harassment and racist behavior. In a series of posts on Twitter and Instagram, Diddy stated that he wants to be NFL’s first black owner, and suggested that he would immediately sign Colin Kaepernick. In 2014, Diddy made a similar proclamation of intent to buy the Los Angeles Clippers after Donald Sterling was forced to sell the team mid-scandal. If Diddy’s serious, he may have some help on the way: Steph Curry, who grew up in Charlotte, responded to Diddy’s announcement “I want in!”
