Forbes has released its 2018 list of the 25 fastest-growing cities in the US, and Boise, Idaho has topped it. Forbes’ annual list uses data from Moody’s Analytics, and considers population, employment, wages, output, and home values in determining its rankings. Boise made incredible advances in 2017 in both population and employment, ranking first and second respectively among US major metropolitan areas. According to Forbes, Boise’s growth is correlated with tech dislocation, as companies continue to be priced out of San Francisco and Seattle. Seattle claimed the list’s second spot. Texan cities also showed major growth in 2017, with Dallas (#3), Forth Worth (#5), and Austin (#8) all placing in the top 10.
