How many one-time associates of Donald Trump have opted to seek book deals for reasons personal, financial or ideological? In a few years, you’ll probably be able to fill a bookshelf with all of the Trump-era tell-all memoirs and inside looks at his administration that have been released. The latest in this camp: Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen. The Hill reported that Cohen is working on a new memoir about his relationship with Trump — one that traces their professional history and eventual falling out.

The Hill’s John Bowden has some details about what to expect. According to The Daily Beast, Cohen — who was sentenced to three years in prison last year — is at work on a book with a plan to release it before the election in November. One anonymous source offered a glimpse as to what to expect:

… Cohen used his prison sentence, which began last year over a slew of financial crimes and campaign finance violations, to pen the exposé that the person said was full of “incredible” stories about the president.

Cohen has publicly broken with the president; in a December letter to a federal judge, he wrote about his regrets stemming from his time working for Trump. Since then, he has been released from prison to serve the rest of his sentence from home — a precaution taken as the coronavirus began making its way through the prison system.

In interviews and prior testimony, Cohen has established himself as a memorable figure, which might distinguish his memoir from the abundance of Trump inner-circle tell-alls. However, it remains to be seen whether or not Cohen’s memoir will be quite as entertaining as this:
