The history of Frank Sinatra is memorably intertwined with a number of cities, from his roots in Hoboken to his triumphs in Las Vegas. And, obviously, there’s New York (New York). But those were far from the only places where the iconic singer had history — and now, one of those spaces is up for sale.

Sinatra was also the owner of a sprawling home in the California desert, located a few hours’ drive from Las Vegas. A new article at TopTenRealEstateDeals.com offers a look inside this historic property, currently on the market for $4.25 million, along with some of the details that make it a singular space.

Located near Palm Desert, Sinatra’s home — named Villa Maggio after his character in From Here to Eternity — was designed as a kind of retreat from the hectic pace and excess of Las Vegas. The main house has five bedrooms, while the guest house on the property has four. The entire compound encompasses 10 acres, which includes a tennis court and helipad.

As the article points out, the Palm Desert and Palm Springs area has become associated with celebrities in the present day, but Villa Maggio demonstrates that the region has always been alluring for iconic musicians. It’s also a unique space, cozy and expansive in equal measure.
