We all know the feeling. You’re watching Star Wars and you think to yourself, “Wow, I would love Han Solo’s jacket.” Well now, it can be yours. The jacket worn by Harrison Ford for his role as Han Solo in The Empire Strikes Back is going up for auction in the UK, reports Esquire, and is expected to get up to $1.3 million.
The jacket doesn’t have any fasteners, because it was designed to be worn open. Esquire writes that George Lucas didn’t want any visible fasteners on any Star Wars costumes because he thought they looked too much like earthbound styles. It is also lighter in real life, because blues tend to show up darker on film.
The auction, courtesy of London’s Prop Store, will take place on Sept. 20. It will also include a Stormtrooper helment and Anakin’s lightsaber from Revenge of the Sith, which is valued around $130,000.
