President Donald Trump’s private seaside club, Mar-a-Lago, in Palm Beach County, Florida, is being forced to evacuate due to Hurricane Irma, along with about 125,000 Palm Beach residents.
According to the Miami Herald, all of Florida is under a state of emergency, and Palm Beach residents are being told to leave starting at 10 a.m. on Friday. Evacuation orders were also issued in Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe counties.
Trump bought Mar-a-Lago back in 1985, but initiation fees were raised to $200,000 after his election, reports Miami Herald. He has returned repeatedly during his first year as president for both business and pleasure.
Irma, which is now a category five hurricane, is expected to touch down in South Florida starting Saturday.
