One thing that supermodels know a lot about, but don’t get much credit for, is travel. So when Travel & Leisure asked Chrissy Teigen for vacation recommendations, it wasn’t just an excuse to show off pictures of a beautiful woman; Teigen has been all over the world for runway shows and fashion shoots. The lady knows a lot on the subject.
Turns out that Teigen’s favorite place on Earth is Lake Como in Lombardy, Italy. “When you look out on the lake it looks like a painting,” Teigen said. “It’s completely silent.” Teigen married her husband Jon Legend there in 2013, and has been back multiple times since.
“There’s so many different aspects of it,” she said, speaking of the area’s attractions and activities. “You can take a boat up the lake, you can do these little excursions,” and at the end of the day, she says, you’ll “eat the best Italian food of your life.”
Teigen’s not the only one with a soft spot for Lake Como. Plenty of elites and celebrities love the place, and the Huffington Post published a guide to traveling there off-season in 2015.
