‘Stranger Things’ Will Return for a Third Season

As if there was any doubt, audiences will get to visit to Hawkins, Indiana, once more.

Netflix has renewed its world-swallowing hit Stranger Things for a third season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. A return date has not yet been announced. Culturally ubiquitous and adored by a massive fan base, Stranger Things brought in a streaming audience of 15.8 million people for its season 2 premiere over the the first three days it was available. The five kids whom the show follows have up until this point received $30,000 per episode, but are expected to renegotiate their contracts before the upcoming season. Matt Duffer, the show’s co-creator, hinted to The Hollywood Reporter that due to the break in production between seasons and the kids getting another year older, season 3 will likely require the plot to jump forward in time.
