SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy may finally launch this coming Tuesday, February 6, according to Wired. Originally planned for a late-2017 takeoff, the Falcon Heavy would become the most powerful launch vehicle in history with a successful launch next week. Success in this case likely means the rocket is not exploding. SpaceX is managing expectations, and the Falcon Heavy may not actually reach orbit. There’s still Elon Musk’s promise to bring two private citizens to the moon’s orbit by the end of 2018, an idea relying heavily on a trustworthy Falcon Heavy. Beyond all the drama of the Falcon Heavy itself, next week’s launch could be SpaceX’s last from Kennedy Space Center, as the company expands its operations in Brownsville, Texas.
