The third season of Serial will cover Cleveland’s criminal courts, according to a story in The Hollywood Reporter. The podcast that has been downloaded more than 340 million times and has been credited for pushing the medium into the mainstream will return with two episodes September 20. Following episodes will go live on subsequent Thursdays.

Host and journalist Sarah Koenig will be joined by Emmanuel Dzotsi, a former fellow of This American Life, as co-reporter for the third season. Dzotsi grew up in Ohio, and the third season will explore the criminal justice system by shining a light on a single courthouse and the wide variety of rulings that happen inside it.

Serial’s hit first season investigated the 1999 murder of Hae Min Lee and the potential innocence or guilt of Adnan Syed, who was convicted for the murder. The second season dealt with the court martial of Bowe Bergdahl.
