Paramount has put Quentin Tarantino’s Star Trek movie on the fast track. A new article in Vanity Fair details what we know about the movie so far: screenwriter Mark L. Smith of The Revenant fame will assist on the script, and J.J. Abrams, of course, will produce the project. The movie promises a hard R-rating. In the past, Tarantino has expressed admiration for two Star Trek episodes in particular, “City on the Edge of Forever” and “Yesterday’s Enterprise,” either of which could provide inspiration for his direction.
