Less than two weeks after Bright’s release to the world, Netflix has announced it is giving the Will Smith movie a sequel. Smith and Joel Edgerton will once again star, and will David Ayer return as writer/director, according to Variety. During its first three days online, its opening weekend of sorts, Bright secured 11 million viewers and has reached more screens internationally than it has in the US. Though Bright scored a measly 28 percent approval by critics on Rotten Tomatoes, its 87 percent audience score suggests that the sequel will have a substantial number of viewers.
