We’re three days away from The Last Jedi swallowing the world entire, and the predicted ticket sales are astronomical. According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Last Jedi is expected to gross $425 million internationally over the course of its first weekend, which would rank it among the top five opening weekends in history. Back in 2015 The Force Awakens took in $529 million its first weekend, a number that may be difficult to match for the sequel. Following a disappointing year at the box office for Hollywood, pressure on The Last Jedi to do big numbers is significant.
