A fire on the Harlem set of Edward Norton’s new movie took the life of a firefighter Thursday night, according to the Associated Press and The Hollywood Reporter. The set had been under construction for two weeks, and late Thursday night a fire of unknown cause broke out. The late Michael R. Davidson was found unconscious inside the burning building after being separated from his fellow firefighters and was pronounced dead later that night. Another two firefighters were in serious condition following the containment of the fire. The building was otherwise unoccupied during the fire. Norton, who is directing and starring in Motherless Brooklyn, released a statement along with his producers expressing sorrow and offering condolences to Davidson’s family.
