“No matter how this goes, they cannot keep us down,” Schumer said during the protest according to Variety. “We will win. A vote for Kavanaugh is a vote saying women don’t matter.”
On her Twitter account, Ratajkowski also posted a photo of herself with the caption: “Today I was arrested protesting the Supreme Court nomination of Brett Kavanaugh, a man who has been accused by multiple women of sexual assault. Men who hurt women can no longer be placed in positions of power.”
A number of other pictures of the Cruise star were also snapped.
The United States Capitol Police said 293 people were arrested for “unlawfully demonstrating” in the Hart Building while an additional nine people were arrested at a separate protest in the Dirksen Senate Office Building.
