Call Me By Your Name has added the Los Angeles Film Critics Association’s best picture award to its Oscar resume, according to The Hollywood Reporter. In addition to taking home the top prize, Call Me By Your Name earned best actor honors for Timothee Chalamet and a tie in the best director category between Luca Guadagnino and The Shape of Water’s Guillermo Del Toro. With Sally Hawkins being named best actress and Dan Laustsen best cinematographer, The Shape of Water tied Call Me By Your Name with three awards. The encouraging performances at Sunday’s award selection likely portend many Oscar nominations for both Call Me By Your Name and The Shape of Water.
